Xiaomi Mi A2 to be Launched in India on August 08

The upcoming Android One phone by Xiaomi which was launched in Spain last month is coming to India on August 08. It's the successor to last years Mi A1, which was the most popular Android One phone of the year.

The smartphone will be an Amazon India exclusive and will be available on Xiaomi's India page mi.com. The price of the device is yet to unveil but looking at the Europian price tags and the records of aggressive pricing in India, we could guess it might start from Rs16,999 for the 64GB+4GB variant. For the Indian market, they might skip the base model of 32GB+4GB. But I am skeptical about the higher alternative, it could be the 64GB+6GB variant or 128GB+6GB variant.

The phone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and will be updated to Android P later this year. It comes with the powerful Snapdragon 660 processor and a 5.99" FHD+ 18:9 display without any notch. For snap shooting, it is equipped with dual-camera (20-megapixel + 12-megapixel) set up at the back, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera with front LED flash. It has a 3000mAh battery with USB-C port for charging and data transfer, for the Indian fans, it might come with Quick Charge 4.0 support.

But the biggest disappointment is it won't be having a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD support. The bundled charger also would be a regular 5V 2A charger.

It launched with three color options - Gold, Black, and Blue, but there might be a fourth option - Rose gold available in India. If you are excited about the product, stay tuned to Mi Product Launch page and Amazon India's post to get an early hands on the device.
