WhatsApp Finnaly Launched Group Calling Feature

The much-awaited feature goes live on both Android and iOS, now users can make group voice and video calls.

After the voice and video calls on WhatsApp gaining popularity, users spend over 2 billion minutes on calls per day. This was a much-needed feature that was missing from the messaging platform. As the feature is already available on other platforms like Skype, FaceTime, and Facebook.

To find out if you have received the update or not, make sure that you have the latest version available in the App Store/PlayStore. Make a regular one to one voice or video call and tap the "add participant" button in the top right corner of the screen to add more persons to the call. As of now, it supports up to four contacts at a time.

The security aspect of the calls, the company states that "Group calls are always end-to-end encrypted, and we've designed calling to work reliably around the world in different network conditions." So the calls would be end-to-end encrypted as your WhatsApp text messages.
